Inglewood Nexans Fun Run/Walk Event Information              

Participants are encouraged to wear masks except for when out on the course.

Getting there

  • This event is at TOPEC, Hydro Road, south of Burgess Park. Please take extreme care when entering/ leaving Hydro Road from/to Main Highway.
  • Parking is available on site at Topec (carpool if possible).

Registration

Those who enter by Friday 25 Febuary 2022 go into an early bird prize draw to win one of three prizes of $20.

  • ALL entrants must attend registration to receive their event number.
  • Registration is available in your defined area (Covid regulations).
  • Entry fees are $10.00 per person or $35.00 a family (2 adults, 3 children) until 6.00pm Friday 25 February 2022 (online entries will have a 50c bank transaction fee added).
  • Entries accepted on the day.
  • $15.00 for individuals and $40.00 for a family.
  • $2.00 from each entry fee will be donated to TOPEC.

​​​​​​​Conditions of entry for Topec Nexan Event

  • There will be 2.3km and 5km Flat courses and a 5km quite steep course available.
  • Please decide which one you are doing before going to register.
  • Participants are encouraged to wear masks except for when out on the course.
  • There will be three separate groups of 100 in “defined spaces” who will set off at different intervals. Registrations will be done in these areas. Please stay in your area before and after the event. Look for signage for where you are to register and assemble. The groups are shown below.


Group 1 – 2.3km course (two laps of Reserve)

Register at 9am – Start 9.30am

This is a flat course for anyone who wishes to do the shorter distance.(Only course really suitable for children in buggies.) Patience required when crossing bridge,


Group 2 – 5km Lake Challenge course

Register at 9.30am – Start 10.15am

Walkers or Runners


Group 3 – 5km flat course

Register 10.15am – Start 10.40am

Walkers or runners

  • When each participant has finished, they must return to their group area. The spot prize list and spot prizes will be at each "defined space". Once participants have finished and picked up spot prizes if they won one, we ask that you please leave the event.
  • Please have your vaccine pass ready to present at registration.
  • TET Athletics Taranaki are working hard to ensure this event takes place in a safe environment and at the same time keep our participants and helpers protected. We have followed the recommended guidelines approved by Athletics New Zealand and Sport New Zealand.

Events

  • All courses are unfortunately not really pushchair friendly. Distances are approximate.
  • 2.3km - probably the pick for young children/families and if you want to give a pushchair a go.
  • 5.0km flat - for those who can`t manage the hills.
  • 5.0km Lake Challenge - a good steady climb up to Lake Mangamahoe and back.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Prizegiving

  • There will be no prizegiving as such because of Covid Regulations.
  • But ALL finish entrants go into the spot prize draw and if you win something you with be able to collect it in the defined area that you registered in.​​​​​​​

Food and Beverage

  • There will be a no BBQ, Coffee Cart, Ice Creams available.​​​​​​​

Additional Information

  • No dogs allowed.
