New Zealand Track and Field Championships 2026

Athlete Information – Athletics Taranaki

Dates: 5–8 March 2026

Venue: Douglas Track and Field, Trusts Arena, West Auckland

The New Zealand Track and Field Championships is the pinnacle of track and field competition in Aotearoa, bringing together the country's top athletes to compete across all disciplines, including sprints, middle- and long-distance running, hurdles, jumps, throws, and multi-events.

Athlete Representation

In line with Athletics New Zealand regulations, all athletes will represent the Centre and not their individual clubs. More information on this representation change can be found here.

Funding & Accommodation Support

Athletics Taranaki has applied for accommodation funding support for athletes attending the Championships.
Confirmation of the funding outcome is expected in early February.
If approved, funding will be applied directly to the identified accommodation included in the funding quote. Please email admin@athleticstaranaki.org.nz if you intend to use the provided accommodation.
Funding cannot be retrospectively applied to athletes who have already arranged their own accommodation.
Accommodation support applies only to athletes and Team Managers representing Athletics Taranaki.
